Research: Eduard Gordeev’s Rainy Landscapes of St.Peterburg

Photographs of Eduard Gordeev look like paintings. I believe that he places wet glass in front of his lenses when he takes his rainy pictures and then photoshops them adding colour and blur effect. Together with the tutor I experimented with blur motion effect using Gordeev’s picture – the one with the umbrella, you can see the result below.

Victor Vasiliev is my favourite Russian theatre photographer. I have been following his work for the last 25 years. I admire the way he creates actors’ portraits in the environment of performances and rehearsals. He uses 70-200 Canon lenses at the moment.
